About Adobe Resort
The Adobe Resort opened in the 1950's as an Inn that the Smith family built with their own hands. The 17,000 adobe blocks were constructed at the site from clay that was found there. Pictures of the adobe block process and the continuing history of the Adobe Resort is an ongoing project that guests past and present contribute.
Location of the Adobe Resort has always remained one mile from the coastal village of Yachats Oregon on the scenic Pacific Coast Hwy. 101.
After the property changed hands a couple of times, in 1977 the Pfannmullers purchased the 38 unit motel and expanded to the 100+ rooms with onsite amenities to include an oceanside award winning restaurant and lounge plus an indoor workout facility with a heated pool, whirlpool, sauna, childrens' pool and exercise room.
Over the years, the Adobe Resort has become a premier destination for travelers who enjoy revisiting this unforgettable setting while reconnecting with the outdoors by agate hunting, tide pooling, whale watching, strolling by the ocean or just watching the tides come in and out.
Centrally located halfway between California and Washington on hwy 101 and more locally 25 miles between Newport and Florence, Oregon. If you are flying into Oregon, the Adobe Resort is an easy 80 mile from the Eugene Airport and only 144 miles from the Portland Oregon International Airport.
